Home to sumatran tigers, cheetahs, red pandas, giraffes and a wide range of monkeys, Wellington Zoo has been entertaining visitors for over a century. - Westpac Stadium
I don’t know about you, but when I visit a new town or city I always try check out a sporting event. The Westpac Staduim is home to not just rugby, cricket and soccer teams, but also a concert arena. So no matter when you visit during the year, there’s sure to be something exciting going on at this purpose built, 34,000-seater stadium.
- Oriental Bay
This stretch of beach is the perfect place to chill out whilst visiting Wellington. Regarded as New Zealand’s very own Riviera, the bay has had a $7.5million facelift to create one of the world’s most acclaimed man made beaches. With loads of cafes, restaurants and art galleries, this area is a real hive of activity both day and night and a great place to relax.
- Wellington Cable Car
For a great way to check out all the amazing sights that Wellington has to offer, just jump on the cable car. It’s a great way to get around the city, and has been used by locals and tourists for over a century. The perfect way to see the city, at a fraction the cost of a cab.
